i have 2 boxs/games to support this theory if you look at database it also supports it. (this gives a great way to see if boxs match games!)
this answers too my question in other forum about cgl game in standard box)

Hi, most of the time the serials match the box, or are very close, but sometimes they don't, even when new, but there very close, I suspect they were probably packages individually in the early years with lesser numbers of production, but as things got more hectic and production no's grew you can see the box number does not always = the game, but in 99% or cases it's very close.

ive been busy the last month going through my notes and pix and have come up with some pretty big lists (5 pages) of serials games and boxs i just have to put into pc and i can share.
(i also havent been right through pix or my collection)
some other news i have a futurtronic fr27 box with serial first ive seen is it rare?
