Exactly what it says on the tin. A thread for variations of the Game & Watch games that weren't released for promotional reasons.

These include the CGL variants, the Mego Corp variants, etc. As far as I know, these variants aren't as well documented as the promotional variants, so hopefully this thread can allieviate that a bit.

If these two eBay listings are to be believed, there appear to be at least two CGL variants of MW-56; one with what appears to be a sticker with the CGL logo on it, and another with the CGL logo printed directly onto the game. The boxes are the same for both variants.

There are other CGL variants that I should probably add soon, but for now, here's a couple of them. Any theories on why there are two different CGL variants of the same game?

I suppose it is the same as for tricOtronic: First they (distributor I guess) stamped the logo onto the games, later on they used stickers because it is cheaper. Just a thought....

In other news, I just found a variant of Fire with a Futuretronics logo on it. Is this a promo or a regular release?

It's a regular release. Game&Watch having the FT logo were released in Australia.

Makes sense. I gotta get back on this at some point.
