What is the problem with this LCD screen, please? was created by aquellosduros
I own this turtle bridge G&W and it shows a screen with some of the features missing. It's hard to show on pictures since it changes so much when tilting or rotating the game. I've changed the polarizers and cleaned the contacts of the screen and I have only seen a slight improvement. Is it even possible to fix this screen? Does anyone know what the actual problem could be?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
I'm not an electronics technician, but I believe it could have to do with missing electrical voltage.

I'm not an electronics technician, but I believe it could have to do with missing electrical voltage.
However, this special structure of the liquid crystal molecules between the two polarizing filters can be disturbed by the application of a voltage at the electrodes, so that the polarization of the light waves interferes. When a voltage is applied, the LCD element therefore becomes opaque and remains dark. Thus, the various elements of a display can be either switched to light or dark and thereby numbers or whole images are displayed.
