Need help please - no power was created by AS121
Hi all
I just bought a Bombsweeper G&W cheap off ebay which was listed as having no power. The unit itself is in good condition. I've just opened it up and going to give it a clean with WD-40 to see if it does the trick.
Any ideas how I can get it to work? I'm using new batteries but nothing is displaying and the inside of the unit seems clean as does the battery connectors.
Am I just wasting my time trying to get it to work?!
Thanks

Hi
just my opinion, wd-40 is for mechanical parts,it is oil based ! Be aware of that,
I always mention here, that one of the best is "Kontact WL" which is made for cleaning pcb's (electronic boards), try to clean with something like that, your electronic parts will be more happy

Open it up and check if the metal battery contacts are soldered on correctly. One or both might be loose. Once I fixed a GW that was not functioning by re-soldering one of the battery contacts onto the board.
