"Yellow" Mickey Donald multiscreen - rare?? was created by razzamaztaz

I just got in my hand a multi Mickey&Donald and it's dark yellow inside instead of white. It is also considerably heavier, at least 10 gram. I can't see any other differences on it. Patrick says he has seen a few of these but has no further knowledge, does anyone out there got an explanation??

Hi, I think this is a well-known yellow-fading effect due to age and probably sun light...
If so, it's not rare but unfortunately near to zero value.
The only way to know it would be to open one of the two yellow parts and see if in the back it's white or yellow-faded....

Sorry if the photo don't show well, was hard to photograph... if you see it in real there's no question. But, I have unscrewed it and it IS the same color inside : ) AND, the heavier weight is very strange, I've thought about it and it must be connected to the different yellow plastic, thus the plastic is heavier.

Very interesting! The seller seems unaware of this. It looks like it's cream color, which mine looks in real life too. Could be this cream colored plastic were used from time to time if the normal plastic was out, who knows lol. I got the advice of another collector to take a knife and scrap away a bit (on the inside presumably), but I just refuse, the game is 99% mint!

I'm glad you don't want to destroy a 99% mint game  8)

LOL! Well I mean, what is to say I'm not too clumsy and it shows, and if anyone would take it apart it would show... nope, putting a knife to a mint game is criminal. There is a small half inch hairline on the plate and that is what makes it 1% less than mint.

Do you think these cream colored versions are an "error"?

Maybe it's an error. Maybe in the factory they did change the plastic granules with a different color and some of it got mixed up?

From the batteries opening it clearly seem that internally the plastic is white....

The battery compartment is not the same, it's disconnected from the rest of the plastic

Just saw this auction on ebay. Looks to be the same sort as you have Razz. Presuming everything there is original, then it looks like there could have been G&W made with this off-color plastic.

Edit: Whoops, didn't read it completely before posting. That IS your auction, hahah.
Well, either way good luck on the sale.

No, it's not right. It's the SAME plastic. This Mario Bros. is yellowed.

If I unscrew everything there is two separate plastic plates (with electronics and lcd on it), and the battery compartment is still behind under the red plastic. It's not connected to the two plastic plates.

It's not caused due to sunlight, I have a Mickey & Donald GW since I was a kid and it has always been yellow like that, how would this affect the value of the item?

I've asked in many places by now. The reluctance to accept this fact seems to be big, people won't believe us, so I guess the value is not affected, or even lowered considerably cause the majority will continue to claim it's sundamaged or whatever : ( Until there's an official explanation that's how it is it seems. Stubborn people.

Did you manage to sell this game after all? If yes, for how much if I may ask? :)
