Donkey Kong - rear text upside down was created by safebuster
I have a Donkey Kong DK-52 and the back of the unit has the moulded text upside down compared to all my other game & watch's. Anyone any idea why? Thanks.

Hi Safebuster.

It is believed the moulds for all the dualscreen games were the same, all they did was change the colour for a new production run and replace the small text stamp in the mould. Occasionaly they would place the tag in upside down.

Just out of curosity what serial number does your game have?

It's probably rarer than a normal game, but I have seen them in the past. If you ever want to sell it, let me know. :)

Hi Slash, thanks for the reply.

The serial number is 43590239 and its in mint condition. I'm not looking to sell at the moment (but your interest is noted). I have a collection of approx 100 G&W's and have not bought or researched them for years so I just wanted to get up to speed with this one. I bought most of mine about 7 or 8 years ago, and the collecting scene has changed since then....there's a lot more knowledge about these things now.

Thanks again....Safebuster

Sounds like you have quite a collectoin. I'd love to see it. I've dedicated my collection towards the more un-common items such as the PS Series etc, hence the interest in your DK. I'll make a note of the serial number so can can at least determine what batch the error occured in.
