For how long do you collect G&W games?

I've started somwhere at the end of summer '05 when I cleaned up my attic and found my DK-52 which I own since my childhood. That was the moment I got adicted :mrgreen:

I've been collecting since September 2005, only shortly after you started. I too was having a clear out and found my old DK and Snoopy Tennis. After a quick search of the internet and eBay I found there were 58 other games (or variations). I never knew there were so many others.

My wallet hasn't forgiven me since! #-o o

I guess many collectors did start they way we did. One or two items did bring up many memories and they did make us wondering if there could be more games. And there are many more...

My wallet and my bank account don't like my adiction at all, and my credit card is bending and crying whenever I see another interesting game... :lol:

I started collecting today. I cant think what triggered the impulse to buy. I just bought my first one off Ebay today, a never-before-used Mario Bros. multi-screen. I think the box is a little old from being in a shop window but the game itself is brand new.

I'm hooked. I want them all!

I think mainly i just had this real nostalgic impulse to collect old video game paraphernalia. I realised the collector inside me. If i had more money i would have been doing this for years but ive been a student for so long never really had much play-cash. Also bought a PS2 today which probably doesn't sound that rad but i've never had one. OT i own the complete Ancestral Trail collection and a complete X-Files VHS collection. I used to own a SNES and NES, 64 and GameCube but they have all been sold off over the years which i tragically regret.

Ebay is now my best friend, true, i don't think my wallet ever forgive me either.

I'm looking at this as an investment.

Yes, collecting those great G&W games can be (or even is) an addiction

From time to time my wallet is crying out loud, too! But it's always great to get an additional game to the collection! :grin:

Of course it's an investment as well. I'm pretty sure that prices will stay stable or even rise in the future.

Hi there,

i think i have buyed my first GW in november-december 2003...

I had found my old games (Turtle bridge, Donkey kong, Oil Panic and mario bros.) at my parent house, and it brings me SOOO much fun that i have made a search on google. The first page was COVERED by ebay auction links...

that was the beginning... i now have a lot of them ( 53/60 )

and i'm the proud owner of a complete J.I21 collection (at least all the game/stuff known to exist)

This is an addiction...

I also have a lot of spare (approx. 50-60 boxed games) and it's hard for me to sell...

My first G&W arrived in the mail today So 16th Aug 2007

I did have 2 as a kid. Turtle Bridge and Parachute. No idea what ever happened to them though.

I found some month ago my old Donkey Kong Multiscreen (still working) and i start last year to around november to check were to find information (that's why I found this forum and register). I'am still looking and hope to begin a great collection in september. )
