Hi all,

My G&W's are looking a little bit grubby so I want to give them a spring clean. Is there a gentle safe way to clean the screens? I'd appreciate any advice you have.

Hello Abby and welcome to the forum :welcome:

For cleaning the displays, I use soft, nonalcoholic cleaning cloths. Usually you can get them at stores where they sell cleaning stuff for all kinds of items or especially for computers or foto cameras.

It's very important not to use pressure when cleaning the display.

Hi guys,
I heard that you can use WD40 ( www.wd40.com/ ) to clean G&W's - has anybody else used this?

I was watching this video about a guy who did an ok job of refurbishing his old Parachute game (except maybe the repainting)- and he used WD40 to get rid of a lot of the dirt.

Ideas?

I know WD40 and I use it often. But not for cleaning Game&Watch games.

WD40 is rather a lubricant. But maybe it is OK to use it for cleaning G&W ... ?
Maybe it would be worth a try on an old game :-k

I thought the same too when I saw that too - but then I checked the WD40 website it says WD40 "Lubricates, Cleans, Protects, Penetrates and Displaces Moisture".

So maybe it is worth a shot - I'll try it on one of my old G&W's and report the results back here with before and after pics
