Same Game&Watch were produced in limited editions as promotional versions. Promotional versions are Game&Watch games that do have imprinted an additional company logo on their case. For example the logo of the companies Bosch, Candia, Alsthom and some more. Such games are of course very rare and highly sought after, because they are very special collector's items. Also, you never know if not suddenly such an unknown advertising game appears somewhere.

And that is exactly what happened!

On January 11th 2012 there was an auction ending which was for a Lion from the Gold Series. There is something special about this game: it has the logo of a former computer magazine imprinted on its case. It's the first Game&Watch ever seen with this logo.

The PC computer magazine has been published in Germany from 1982 to 1995.

The loose game reached a final price of EUR 223.77 which is not surprising in view of its rarity. The game has been sold by an eBay user from Germany and was bought by our gameandwatch.ch member Undead. Congratulations on this great find!
